Patterns and Textures at Gallery 175

Gallery 175, located in downtown Pawtucket, RI, is hosting an exhibit of artwork by Richard Harrington, painter; Robert Easton, photographer, and Rhea Nowak, printmaker.  The exhibit, Patterns and Textures, runs through August 20.

Accomplished Providence artist and teacher, Richard Harrington, creates acrylic paintings executed in an Abstract Expressionistic style.  Underlying his painterly abstract images are rectangular patterns that emerge and disappear into soft clouds of luminous color.  Deft brushstrokes add richness and texture to his surfaces.

Robert Easton, a resident of Pawtucket, is a world traveler who recently returned to the area from El Salvador.  He is exhibiting street scenes of Cuba taken during two recent trips.  His photographs capture the contrast of buildings painted in bright colors and bold patterns impacted with the textures and patina of passing time.
