Blackstone Culinaria Food Tour
July 20 | Condesa Restaurante
970 Douglas Pike Smithfield, RI
Witness a demo of ‘Cantarito’ which are summery drinks popular in town fairs and similar events in Mexico. The drink gets its name from the clay pottery-style cup it is traditionally served in. A Cantarito is prepared with tequila, grapefruit soda, orange juice, fresh lime juice and is served with a lime seasoned salt rim on the cup. Come for a meal of ‘Chiles en Nogada’ which are stuffed poblano peppers dipped in flour and egg white and fried, then topped with a walnut sauce, cilantro and pomegranate. The pepper is stuffed with a mixture of ground beef, raisins, apple, pear and plantain. Sounds good, doesn’t it?!
Discover the culinary treasures of Rhode Island’s Blackstone Valley!
