PICA has four main program areas and is the support system for those who have none. Our staff works with our guests based on their self stated needs, from selecting their own groceries to intensive case management. We charge no fee for services, and treat everyone with dignity and respect. Three of our programs: Downtown Food Pantry, Homeless Outreach and SOAR as well as the office are housed at 15 Hayes Street (in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church), and the Friday night Meal Site is housed at the Mathewson St. United Methodist Church, 134 Mathewson St, all in downtown Providence.

McAuley Ministries is an independent non-profit organization sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and rooted in the ideals of their founder, Catherine McAuley. Our ministry provides the basic needs of food clothing, shelter, health services, emotional support and guidance to the most vulnerable in our community. Currently serves over 600 families from the Providence community in the 02907 zip code area. The Food Pantry provides proteins, vegetables, bread and non-perishable food when available. Residents must complete an application before picking up food and re-certify yearly.
